This is the furthest north we will travel, close to the Tayrona National Park, near the Mendihuaca river on the sands of the Caribbean. The word Caribbean in my mind conjures up images of blue skies and white sandy beaches. Unfortunately the weather remains overcast, the only action are the sea birds and a few people trying to surf.
Odyssey seems to think this is a awesome camp at a incredible location for serious surfers? Definitely a vivid fantasy!
We’re in transit again heading south, on route to Bogota, we overnight at Aguachica. The coffee at breakfast is Nescafe, I order black, it comes pre-sweetened with sugar added. Ironic when Colombia supposedly is one of largest producers of coffee.
