With a little help from TripAdviser I decided to try a restaurant, L’Eau Vive, a 18th century building in the heart of old Lima. This very simple and somewhat unusual eatery is run by French Carmelite nuns.
Ten minutes after arriving, Lee and Roberta walked through the door. Photo time! Both decided to have the three course lunch, Roberta choose chicken as the main course, $10 (NOK 80) and Lee, trout, $11 (NOK 93). The food has a ‘home cooked feel’ as the nuns themselves cook the food.
L’Eau Vive offers really good value for money and all the profits go to feed the street kids in the area, an excellent way to give something to back to the community.
