Botero Plaza is a park that displays 23 sculptures by Colombian artist Fernando Botero, who donated these and several other artworks for the Museum of Antioquia renovation in 2004. The plaza is located in an area of Medellín, Colombia known as the Old Quarter.
His signature style, also known as Boterismo, depicts people and figures in large, exaggerated volume, rather similar to the shape of todays youth, which can represent political criticism or humour.
