At the southern end of Los Glaciares National Park sits El Calafate, a much bigger and more developed town. The big attraction here is the Perito Mereno Glacier, one of the easily accessible glaciers in the world. Most of us made the day trip to visit the viewpoints and watch huge chunks of ice calving off into the water below.
As the truck is being repaired the itinerary has been changed and now we are going to use a public transport buss to get us down to Ushuaia a journey of 17 hours ­čÖé
